Biography

Edward Jensen is the Chief Technology Officer and Webmaster for the Downtown Voices Coalition, a grassroots organization that fosters discussion on a wide array of social, economic, physical, and political issues. He is also on the Downtown Voices Coalition’s Steering Committee and is the co-chair of the Bicycling and Alternative Transportation subcommittee.

Mr. Jensen is an alumnus of Arizona State University, having graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban and Metropolitan Studies, emphasizing in information technology policy and digital knowledge architecture. While at ASU, Mr. Jensen was on the Digital Knowledge Support team at ASU’s College of Public Programs. He worked with the College’s faculty and information technology department to facilitate online learning and research emerging technologies. He was President of the Barrett Honors College Leadership and Service Team at the ASU Downtown Phoenix campus and a community engagement liaison for several other student organizations. A strong advocate of University/community relationships, he received several awards, including the Outstanding Service as an Undergraduate award from the ASU School of Public Affairs as well as the Outstanding Student Leader award from the ASU College of Public Programs.

An accomplished musician, he is the Artistic Director of the Phoenician Chamber Soloists, a new community orchestra and choir in downtown Phoenix. He was Principal Tympani for the Phoenix Symphony Youth Orchestra from 2004-2006 and currently freelances to small community groups and churches in downtown Phoenix.
